A pita is a form of a round flatbread baked from wheat flour, common in the Mediterranean, Middle East, and neighboring areas. The origin of the word "pita" goes back to Greek, where it literally means either pie or cake. Pita is well known for its dense texture, versatility, and sweet, wheat flavor. It's also a great substitute for high-calorie bread
